In Daylight mode, IRIS F20R only turns lights ON when motion is detected and the ambient light is below the selected lux level (from <3 to 2000 lux). This prevents unnecessary switching in spaces that already receive sufficient natural light—such as window-side offices, bright corridors or lobbies.
When the room is already bright enough, the sensor keeps the load OFF even if people move inside the detection field
When ambient light falls below the lux setting and IRIS F20R detects movement, it activates the lighting automatically for safe, comfortable visibility.
Once motion stops, the light remains ON for the chosen hold time (from around 10 seconds up to 30 minutes) and then switches OFF, ready for the next occupancy cycle.
In No Daylight mode, IRIS F20R ignores ambient light and operates purely on presence detection. This mode is ideal for internal zones with little or no natural light—like enclosed corridors, conference washrooms or back-of-house passages—where lights must always respond whenever someone enters.
As soon as a person enters the 360° detection zone, the PIR sensor responds to body heat and switches the connected lighting ON.
While movement continues within the field (up to the set range and mounting height), IRIS F20R keeps the load ON, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
After the last movement is detected and the selected delay time expires, the lighting turns OFF automatically to reduce energy consumption.
