Sensitivity

Adjust the sensor's detection range from 2m to 16m by turning the reach knob. Turn it fully left for minimum range and fully right for maximum. Set based on location needs.

Time Setting

Choose how long the light stays ON (10 seconds to 12 minutes). Movement restarts the timer. Use the shortest time during setup and walk test for accurate adjustment.

Light Control (LUX) Setting

Set light sensitivity from 2 to 2000 lux. Fully left = night-only mode (2 lux), fully right = day mode. Turn fully right during testing in daylight, then adjust per requirement.

Test Instructions

  • Turn the TIME knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (10s).Turn the LUX knob clockwise on the maximum (sun). Switch on the power; the sensor and its connected lamp will have no signal at the beginning.
  • After Warm-up 30sec, the sensor can start work If the sensor receives the induction signal, the lamp will turn on. While there is no another induction signal any more, the load should stop working within
  • 10sect3sec and the lamp would turn off. Turn LUX knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (3). If the ambient light is more than 3LUX, the sensor would not work and the lamp stop working too. If the ambient light is less than 3LUX (darkness), the sensor would
work. Under no induction signal condition, the sensor should stop working within  10sec to 3sec.

Ready to Transform Your Space?

Experience Reliable Indoor Motion Sensing with IRIS S10

IRIS S10 is a compact PIR motion sensor designed for automatic lighting control in indoor circulation areas. It detects human presence using infrared technology, switches lights ON when motion is detected, and turns them OFF after the set delay time. This helps reduce energy wastage while keeping key passages safely illuminated.

How It Works

Discover the simple yet effective way NANO 16 transforms your space

1

Microwave Emission

Emits 5.8GHz microwaves with <0.2mW power, ensuring precise detection.

2

Motion Detection

Detects movement (0.6–1.5m/s) within 360° range, adjustable 2–16m.

3

Smart Response

Activates lights (≤800W incandescent / 300W LED) with 10s–12min delay.

A microwave motion sensor works by emitting high-frequency waves and detecting changes in the reflected signal. When motion occurs within the microwave sensor range, the reflection shifts, triggering a response. Unlike passive sensors, microwave sensors actively scan their surroundings, making them ideal for detecting subtle movement, even through walls or glass.

Applications

Discover how the IRIS S10 PIR Motion Sensor automates lighting in everyday indoor spaces with accurate detection and smart energy savings.

corridor

Corridors

Maintain bright, safe corridors only while they’re in use. IRIS S10 senses people entering the passage and keeps the lights ON until the area is vacant, reducing unnecessary burning hours and enhancing comfort.

Staircases

Staircases

Avoid dark staircases without leaving lights ON all day. IRIS S10 activates lighting as soon as motion is detected on the stairs and switches it OFF after the configured hold time.

Basement Parking

Basement Parking & Ramps

Ideal for covered basements and internal ramps where natural light is low. The sensor responds to both pedestrians and vehicles and turns the lights OFF automatically once movement stops. Tags: High Utilisation Zones · Reduced Power Consumption

Lobbies, Lift Areas & Passages

Improve comfort in lift lobbies, waiting zones and common passages. IRIS S10 provides 360° presence detection* for people walking in or standing briefly, ensuring pleasant lighting when needed and savings when the area is empty. (*360° / indoor usage as per IRIS series PIR design.)

More Applications

Slide
Parking Areas

Reliable emergency lighting for underground and multi-level parking facilities, ensuring safety in low-light conditions.

Smart Functionality

Experience intuitive lighting control with IRIS S10’s PIR sensing, daylight-dependent operation and adjustable settings.

Daylight Function

In Daylight mode, IRIS S10 only switches lights ON when two conditions are met: motion is detected and the ambient light level is below the selected lux threshold. This prevents lights from turning on in bright areas such as corridors with windows, lobbies with glass facades, or staircases with natural light.

lux setting-Motion Sensor

Sufficient daylight

When there is enough natural light, the sensor keeps the light OFF even if motion is detected, helping avoid unnecessary energy use.

lux setting night-Motion Sensor

Low daylight with motion

When the ambient light level falls below the set lux value and IRIS S10 detects movement, the light turns ON automatically.

Detection-Motion Sensor

After people leave

Once motion stops, the light remains ON for the chosen hold time and then switches OFF automatically until the next detection.

No Daylight Function

In No Daylight mode, IRIS S10 ignores the surrounding light level and works purely on motion detection. This mode is ideal for enclosed or low-light areas like basement parking, internal staircases, or windowless corridors where the light must always come ON whenever movement is present.

motion detection_sensionva

Motion detected

As soon as a person enters the detection zone, the sensor turns the light ON to full brightness.

motion detection_sensionva

Area still occupied

As long as IRIS S10 continues to detect movement, the light stays ON, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Detection-Motion Sensor

No motion detected

After the last detection and completion of the selected hold time, the light switches OFF automatically until new motion is detected.

🌓

Knows Sun from Moon

IRIS S10 includes adjustable lux sensing, allowing it to distinguish between bright daytime conditions and darker environments. You can set it to use daylight information when required so lights operate only when genuinely needed.

🎚️

Dial-in Distance

Fine-tune the detection range to match the room size. With adjustable sensitivity, IRIS S10 can be set to cover just the desired area, helping avoid false triggers from adjacent corridors or nearby movements.

⏱️

Stays On When Busy

Smart re-triggering ensures the timer refreshes whenever IRIS S10 detects new motion. Lights remain ON continuously while people are present, preventing any unwanted dark spots during high activity.

You Set the Timeout

Choose how long lights remain ON after the last detection. The adjustable hold time lets you configure IRIS S10 differently for quick-transition areas (like short corridors) and slower zones (like staircases or lobbies).

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about IRIS S10

What is IRIS S10?

IRIS S10 is a compact PIR motion sensor for indoor lighting control. It detects movement using passive infrared technology and automatically switches connected lights ON when motion is present and OFF after a preset delay, improving both convenience and energy efficiency.

What is the detection range of IRIS S10?

IRIS S10 offers a wide detection area suitable for corridors, staircases, lobbies, basement passages and similar indoor spaces. The actual coverage depends on mounting height, room layout and sensitivity settings. For detailed values, please refer to the IRIS S10 technical data sheet supplied with the product.

Is IRIS S10 compatible with all types of lights?

IRIS S10 can work with most commonly used indoor lighting fixtures—such as LED luminaires with appropriate drivers and other loads within the rated output of the sensor—when wired as per the instructions. Always confirm compatibility with the luminaire manufacturer or your electrician before installation.

Can IRIS S10 be installed on walls and ceilings?

Yes. IRIS S10 is designed primarily for ceiling mounting to achieve 360° coverage, but it may also be installed on suitable surfaces as recommended in the installation guide. Correct mounting height and orientation are essential for best performance.

Does IRIS S10 have adjustable settings?

Yes. IRIS S10 typically includes adjustable parameters such as detection sensitivity, hold time (delay), and daylight / No Daylight operating modes. These controls allow you to fine-tune the sensor for different room sizes, traffic patterns and lighting conditions.

Where can IRIS S10 be used?

IRIS S10 is ideal for indoor circulation and shared spaces such as corridors, staircases, lift lobbies, waiting areas, basement passages, small storage rooms and similar locations where automatic, presence-based lighting control is required.
