Sensitivity

The light can be set to stay ON for any period of time between approx. 10sec(turn fully anticlockwise) and a maximum of 12min(turn fully clockwise). Any movement detected before this time elapse will re-start the timer. It is recommended to select the shortest time for adjusting the detection zone and for performing the walk test.

Time Setting

The chosen light response threshold can be adjusted from <3-2000 lux. Turn it fully anti-clockwise to select dusk-to-dawn operation at about 2 lux. Turn it fully clockwise to select continuous daylight operation. The knob must be turned fully clockwise when adjusting the detection zone and performing the walk test in daylight, then adjust setting according to site requirement.

Test Instructions

  1.  Turn the TIME knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (-). Turn the LUX knob clockwise on the maximum (sun).
  2.  Switch on the power; the sensor and its connected lamp will have no signal at the beginning. After Warm-up 30sec,
the sensor can start work. If the sensor receives the induction signal, the lamp will turn on. While there is no
another induction signal any more, the load should stop working within 10sec#3sec and the lamp would turn off.
  3. Turn LUX knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (moon). If the ambient light is more than 3LUX, the sensor would not
work and the lamp stop working too. If the ambient light is less than 3LUX (darkness), the sensor would work. Under no
induction signal condition, the sensor should stop working within 10sec+3sec

Ready to Transform Your Space?

360° PIR Motion Control with IRIS S8

IRIS S8 is a wall/ceiling-mounted PIR motion sensor designed as a compact, energy-saving switch for indoor lighting. It detects human movement in a full 360° field up to 8 metres and turns lights ON the moment someone enters—then switches them OFF after the set delay. With adjustable lux and time settings, IRIS S8 is ideal for offices, hallways, lift lobbies, staircases and common areas where you want reliable automation and lower power bills.

How It Works

Discover the simple yet effective way NANO 16 transforms your space

1

Microwave Emission

Emits 5.8GHz microwaves with <0.2mW power, ensuring precise detection.

2

Motion Detection

Detects movement (0.6–1.5m/s) within 360° range, adjustable 2–16m.

3

Smart Response

Activates lights (≤800W incandescent / 300W LED) with 10s–12min delay.

A microwave motion sensor works by emitting high-frequency waves and detecting changes in the reflected signal. When motion occurs within the microwave sensor range, the reflection shifts, triggering a response. Unlike passive sensors, microwave sensors actively scan their surroundings, making them ideal for detecting subtle movement, even through walls or glass.

Parking Areas

Reliable emergency lighting for underground and multi-level parking facilities, ensuring safety in low-light conditions.

Smart Functionality

Experience reliable, presence-based lighting with IRIS S8’s 360° PIR sensing, adjustable lux threshold and flexible time delay

Daylight Function

In Daylight mode, IRIS S8 only switches lights ON when two conditions are met: motion is detected and the ambient light level is below the selected lux threshold (adjustable from about <3 to 2000 lux). This prevents lights from coming ON unnecessarily in naturally bright lobbies, corridors or stair landings

lux setting-Motion Sensor

Sufficient daylight

When the area is already bright, the sensor keeps the lights OFF even if it detects movement, avoiding wasted power.

lux setting night-Motion Sensor

Low daylight with motion

When the ambient light drops below the chosen lux level and IRIS S8 detects movement, it switches the connected lights ON automatically to maintain safe visibility.

Detection-Motion Sensor

After people leave

Once motion stops, the lights remain ON for the selected hold time (from about 10 seconds up to 7 minutes) and then switch OFF automatically

No Daylight Function

In No Daylight mode, IRIS S8 ignores ambient light and works purely on PIR movement detection. This is ideal for enclosed or consistently dim areas such as internal corridors, basement passages or covered parking where lights must always respond to occupancy, regardless of day or nigh

motion detection_sensionva

Motion detected

As soon as a person enters the 360° detection field, the sensor responds to body heat and switches the lights ON.

motion detection_sensionva

Area still occupied

As long as movement continues within its 8 m radius field (at typical mounting heights of 2.2–4 m), IRIS S8 keeps the lights ON for continuous comfort and safety.

Detection-Motion Sensor

No motion detected

After the last movement is detected and the configured delay expires, the lighting turns OFF automatically, reducing energy consumption and lamp wear.

🌓

Knows Sun from Moon

IRIS S8 includes an adjustable daylight (lux) control from <3 to 2000 lux, letting you decide at what brightness the sensor should start responding. Lights only come ON when the corridor or lobby is genuinely dim.

🎚️

Dial-in Distance

Optimised for an 8 m (radius) detection distance and 360° coverage at 2.2–4 m mounting height, IRIS S8’s sensitivity can be tuned so it focuses on the intended area and avoids triggers from beyond the target zone.

⏱️

Stays On When Busy

The time delay is extended automatically when new movement is detected. Every additional presence restarts the timer, keeping lights ON continuously while people are using the space

You Set the Timeout

Adjust the hold time from around 10 seconds to 7 minutes to match real usage—shorter for low-traffic corridors or staircases, longer for busy lobbies and common areas
