Sensitivity

SENS refers to the diameter of the detection zone, which is roughly circular, produced on the ground when the sensor is mounted at a height of 2.5 to 6 meters. Turn the SENS control fully counterclockwise to select the minimum SENS (approximately 2 meters in diameter) and fully clockwise to select the maximum SENS (approximately 16 meters in diameter). Adjust according to location and site requirements

Time Setting

The light can be set to stay on for any period of time between approximately 10 seconds (turn fully counterclockwise) and a maximum of 12 minutes (turn fully clockwise). Any movement detected before this time elapses will restart the timer. It is recommended to select the shortest duration necessary for your needs.

Light Control (LUX) Setting

The chosen light response threshold can be adjusted from approximately 3 to 2000 lux. Turn the knob fully counterclockwise to select dusk-to-dawn operation at about 3 lux, and fully clockwise for continuous daylight operation. The knob must be turned fully clockwise when adjusting the detection zone and performing the walk test in daylight. Afterward, adjust the setting according to site requirements. Allow sufficient time for adjusting the detection zone and for performing the walk test.

Test Instructions

1. Set LUX to SUN (max). Set TIME to minimum (10s).
2. Power on. Wait 30 seconds for warm-up to complete.
3. Enter detection field — lamp illuminates within 1 second.
4. Stay still — after 10 sec ±3 sec the lamp will turn off.
5. For night-only mode: set LUX to position 3 (minimum).

Ready to Transform Your Space?

Experience the Future of Motion Detection with SINO F6

SINO F6 is a PIR Motion Sensor that uses passive infrared energy radiated by the human body. No microwave emission — completely safe for continuous use.

How It Works

Discover the simple yet effective way NANO 16 transforms your space

1

Microwave Emission

Emits 5.8GHz microwaves with <0.2mW power, ensuring precise detection.

2

Motion Detection

Detects movement (0.6–1.5m/s) within 360° range, adjustable 2–16m.

3

Smart Response

Activates lights (≤800W incandescent / 300W LED) with 10s–12min delay.

A microwave motion sensor works by emitting high-frequency waves and detecting changes in the reflected signal. When motion occurs within the microwave sensor range, the reflection shifts, triggering a response. Unlike passive sensors, microwave sensors actively scan their surroundings, making them ideal for detecting subtle movement, even through walls or glass.

Smart Functionality

Experience intuitive lighting control with Nano F16’s advanced sensing modes and adjustable settings.

Daylight Function

In Daylight mode, Nano F16 only turns lights ON when both conditions are met: motion is detected and the ambient light level is below the set lux threshold. This prevents lights from switching on unnecessarily in naturally bright spaces such as corridors with windows or staircases with skylights.

lux setting-Motion Sensor

Sufficient daylight

When there is enough natural light, the sensor keeps the light OFF even if motion is detected.

lux setting night-Motion Sensor

Low daylight with motion

When the ambient light falls below the set level and the sensor detects movement, the light switches ON automatically.

Detection-Motion Sensor

After people leave

Once motion stops, the light remains ON for the selected hold time and then switches OFF automatically.

No Daylight Function

In No Daylight mode, Nano F16 ignores the ambient light level and responds purely to motion. This mode is ideal for consistently dim or enclosed areas such as basement parking, internal corridors, and underpasses where lights must always come on whenever movement is detected.

motion detection_sensionva

Motion detected

As soon as a person or vehicle enters the detection zone, the sensor switches the light ON to full brightness.

motion detection_sensionva

Area still occupied

As long as motion continues, the light stays ON, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Detection-Motion Sensor

No motion detected

After the last detection and expiry of the configured hold time, the light turns OFF automatically.

🌓

Knows Sun from Moon

Nano F16 can differentiate between day and night using its built-in light sensing. It automatically adjusts operation based on ambient lux levels, ensuring lights are used only when they’re actually needed.

🎚️

Dial-in Distance

Set the detection range to suit the space. Nano F16 allows fine adjustment of sensitivity so that motion is detected only within the desired area, helping avoid false triggers from adjacent zones.

⏱️

Stays On When Busy

Smart re-triggering means the timer resets whenever new motion is detected. Lights remain ON continuously while people are present, providing uninterrupted illumination during peak activity.

You Set the Timeout

Choose how long the lights stay ON after the last detection. The adjustable hold time lets you match sensor behaviour to the application, from quick shut-off for short passages to longer delays for high-traffic areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Nano F16

How does SINO F6 detect motion?

SINO F6 uses PIR (Passive Infrared) technology, detecting changes in infrared radiation naturally emitted by the human body. It’s entirely passive and emits no radiation of any kind, making it completely safe for continuous residential and commercial use.

How is SINO F6 different from SINO PRO?

SINO F6 uses PIR technology to detect movement across its Fresnel lens zones, so it needs crossing motion to trigger — it won’t detect a person sitting still. SINO PRO, by contrast, uses microwave radar to detect breathing, keeping lights on even when you’re stationary. If you need lighting to stay on for someone sitting still at a desk, SINO PRO is the better fit; for general movement-based automation, SINO F6 is ideal.

Where should I install SINO F6 for best performance?

Mount it centrally on the ceiling at a height of 2.2–4m (3m is ideal), with a clear, unobstructed 360° view. Avoid mirrors, glass, or highly reflective surfaces, heat sources like vents, AC units, or halogen lamps, and areas with draughts from curtains, tall plants, or fans, as these can affect detection.

Why doesn't the sensor respond immediately after power-on?

This is normal. SINO F6 has a 30-second warm-up period after every power-on, during which it won’t detect motion. Once warm-up is complete, it will begin functioning normally.

Can I use SINO F6 outdoors?

SINO F6 is IP44 rated, suitable for covered outdoor areas like porches and carports, but it’s not designed for direct rain exposure.
