Time Setting

The light can be set to stay ON for any period of time between approx. IOsec(turn fully anticlockwise) and a maximum of 12min(turn fully clockwise). Any movement detected before this time elapse will re-start the timer. It is recommended to select the shortest time for adjusting the detection zone and for performing the walk test.

Light Control Setting

The chosen light response threshold can be adjusted from <3-2000 Lux. Turn it fully anti-clockwise to select dusk-to-dawn operation at about'-- 2 Lux. Turn it fully clockwise to select continuous daylight operation. The knob must be turned fully clockwise when adjusting the detection zone and performing the walk test in daylight, then adjust setting according to site requirement.

Test Instructions

  1. Turn the LUX knob clockwise on the maximum (sun). Turn the TIME knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (10s).
  2. Switch on the power; the sensor and its connected lamp will have no signal at the beginning. After Warm-up 30sec, the sensor can start work .If the sensor receives the induction signal, the lamp will turn on. While there is no another induction signal any more, the load should stop working within 10sect3sec and the lamp would turn off.
  3. Turn LUX knob anti-clockwise on the minimum (3). If the ambient light is more than 3LUX, the sensor would not work and the lamp stop working too. If the ambient light is less than 3LUX (darkness), the sensor would work. Under no induction signal condition, the sensor should stop working within 10sec+3sec

Ready to Transform Your Space?

Outdoor PIR Motion Control with IRIS W15

IRIS W15 is a weather-resistant IP65 PIR motion sensor designed for automatic lighting in outdoor and semi-outdoor areas. Wall or ceiling mounted, it detects movement within a 180° fan-shaped field up to 12 m and turns lights ON as soon as someone enters—then switches them OFF after the set delay. With adjustable lux and time settings, IRIS W15 is ideal for entrances, pathways, gardens and parking zones where you want smart lighting, better comfort and reduced energy waste.

How It Works

Discover the simple yet effective way NANO 16 transforms your space

1

Microwave Emission

Emits 5.8GHz microwaves with <0.2mW power, ensuring precise detection.

2

Motion Detection

Detects movement (0.6–1.5m/s) within 360° range, adjustable 2–16m.

3

Smart Response

Activates lights (≤800W incandescent / 300W LED) with 10s–12min delay.

A microwave motion sensor works by emitting high-frequency waves and detecting changes in the reflected signal. When motion occurs within the microwave sensor range, the reflection shifts, triggering a response. Unlike passive sensors, microwave sensors actively scan their surroundings, making them ideal for detecting subtle movement, even through walls or glass.

Building Exteriors & Common Outdoor Areas

Install IRIS W15 on compound walls, terraces, utility yards or common outdoor zones. The IP65 housing withstands rain and dust while the sensor ensures lights follow occupancy—ON when people are around, OFF when spaces are empty

More Applications

Slide
Parking Areas

Reliable emergency lighting for underground and multi-level parking facilities, ensuring safety in low-light conditions.

Smart Functionality

Experience outdoor-ready, presence-based lighting with IRIS W15’s 180° PIR sensing, IP65 housing and adjustable lux/time controls

Daylight Function

In Daylight mode, IRIS W15 only turns the lights ON when two conditions are met: motion is detected and the ambient light is below the selected lux threshold (adjustable from <3 to about 2000 lux). This means entrance, garden or driveway lights won’t switch on in bright daytime conditions, even if there is movement

lux setting-Motion Sensor

Sufficient daylight

When the outdoor area is already bright, the sensor keeps the light OFF even if someone walks through the detection zone, preventing unnecessary energy use.

lux setting night-Motion Sensor

Low daylight with motion

When dusk falls or the area becomes dark and IRIS W15 detects movement, it switches the connected light ON automatically for safe, comfortable visibility.

Detection-Motion Sensor

After people leav

Once motion stops, the light remains ON for the chosen hold time (from around 10 seconds to 15 minutes) and then turns OFF automatically

No Daylight Function

In No Daylight mode, IRIS W15 ignores the ambient light level and responds purely to movement. This mode is ideal for locations where the light should always react to presence—such as covered parking areas, shaded passages or building corners that stay relatively dark

motion detection_sensionva

Motion detected

As soon as a person or vehicle enters the 180° detection field within the 12 m range, the PIR sensor responds to body heat or moving objects and switches the light ON.

motion detection_sensionva

Area still occupied

As long as motion continues within the field of view, IRIS W15 keeps the connected load ON, ensuring consistent lighting during use.

Detection-Motion Sensor

No motion detected

After the last detection and expiry of the configured delay time, the light turns OFF automatically, saving power and extending lamp life.

🌓

Knows Sun from Moon

IRIS W15 can distinguish between bright and dark conditions using its adjustable daylight (lux) setting from <3 up to around 2000 lux. This ensures the sensor only brings lights ON when the natural light around the entrance, garden or parking is genuinely low

🎚️

Dial-in Distance

With up to 12 m detection distance and 180° coverage, IRIS W15’s sensitivity can be tuned so it covers just the required area—whether that’s a short porch zone or a longer driveway—avoiding unwanted triggers from the street or neighbouring plots

⏱️

Stays On When Busy

Every new movement resets the internal timer. Lights stay ON for the entire period people are moving through the detection field, preventing annoying switch-offs while someone is at the gate, walking the path or parking a vehicle

You Set the Timeout

Choose how long the lights remain ON after the last motion, from approximately 10 seconds up to 15 minutes. Set shorter delays for low-traffic side passages, or longer for main entrances and driveways that need extended illumination after each use.
